July 2008: A Parramatta Stadium spectator, Sper Vega, was banned for life for calling Test forward Petero Civoniceva "a monkey".

July 2005: Parramatta's Aboriginal back-rower Dean Widders was called "a black c---" by Souths captain Bryan Fletcher, who was sacked as captain.

March 2004: South Sydney coach Paul Langmack agreed to attend a conciliation meeting with Owen Craigie despite insisting he had not racially abused the Rabbitohs five-eighth.

March 1997: Craigie complained about racial vilification while playing against North Sydney. Chris Caruana was fined, dropped from first grade and told to publicly apology.

August 1998 Bulldog Barry Ward was fined $10,000 by the NRL's racial vilification tribunal following a complaint from St George's Anthony Mundine and Robbie Simpson. Ward called Mundine a "black c---" during a match at Kogarah Oval.
