As we gear up for the second match in the State of Origin tomorrow night, the NRL season is also about to reach fever point as the clubs take to the field on the weekend for round 15.

With places in the top eight to be decided, the next five weeks will determine who can stay around and who is finished for the year – except for the Melbourne Storm who as we know are already gone due to the salary cap breach.

It’s a big week in Queensland meanwhile with Origin Two proceeded by an NRL double header at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night featuring locals the Broncos and Titans.

Brisbane having recaptured winning form of late open the weekend against second placed Penrith, while the Canterbury Bulldogs opted to relocate its home game north against the Gold Coast.

The Broncos are set to welcome back its three Queensland reps, while have named an extended seven-man bench as cover for any injuries.

The Panthers have named Wade Graham at five-eighth in place of hamstrung Travis Burns, while Gavin Cooper has been named on the bench alongside Frank Puletua who is the 18th man.

Canterbury meanwhile has named new recruit Ryan Tandy on the interchange bench after opting for the same starting line-up that took on the Tigers a couple of weeks ago.

Gold Coast has named a 19-man squad for the game with Ashley Harrison hoping to back up, while there is some doubt on Luke Bailey’s injured ankle which will be assessed during Thursday’s final training session.

The Melbourne Storm copped a hammering last night but only have five days to turn that around when the Cowboys come to town on Saturday evening.

The Storm, like most clubs, welcomes back its five Origin representatives (pending no injuries) and after a lean couple of weeks the club will be looking to return to the winners’ list.

Luke O’Donnell highlights one of three big name inclusions for the Cowboys this weekend, with skipper Johnathan Thurston and Prop Matt Scott also set to return to the North Queensland line-up.

Saturday night’s game of the weekend is between an under-siege Manly at home against South Sydney.

The Sea Eagles welcome back co-captains Jamie Lyon and Jason King, along with Steve Matai and Anthony Watmough, while Chris Bailey has been named as 18th man.

The Rabbitohs meanwhile welcome back second rowers Sam Burgess and Dave Taylor from their rep duties, along with suspended hooker Issac Luke and, from injury, interchange forward Shannon McPherson.

The Sharks have named an unchanged line-up for the local derby clash against the ladder-leading Dragons at home this Sunday.

St George-Illawarra meanwhile have named an extended seven-man interchange bench with Neville Costigan poised to take the field for his 100th NRL first grade match.

Jeremy Smith (calf) and Nick Emmett (back) have been named on the bench with both having missed the last 4-8 weeks through injury.

The Wests Tigers return to Leichhardt, following the bye last week, to tackle the Canberra Raiders on Sunday afternoon.

Former Warrior Wade McKinnon is set for his starting debut with the Tigers since joining the club last month. Blake Ayshford has overcome his groin injury, while coach Tim Sheens has named a six-man bench.

The Raiders meanwhile are set to welcome back the three Origin stars for the clash on Sunday with Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Joel Monaghan and David Shillington all named in a 20-man squad.

Coach David Furner has opted for Justin Carney, Joe Picker and Travis Waddell to act as cover for any injuries either or all the trio may get from what is tipped to be a fiery battle tomorrow night.

Parramatta travels to Newcastle for Monday night football this week with both clubs eager to grab the two competition points after indifferent fortunes of late.

Captain Kurt Gidley returns to the Knights line up at fullback, while Jarrod Mullen is set to resume in the half-back role with Wes Naiqama dropped to the bench and Scott Dureau omitted.

With a place inside the top eight up for grabs, the Eels have named a full strength side to take on the Knights with NSW Origin duo Jarryd Hayne and Nathan Hindmarsh expected to be available.

Below are all the team line-ups that were announced today, along with Radio and Television coverage details.
