JASON Taylor's future at Souths is under review as officials continue to investigate the alleged fight between the coach and star player David Fa'alogo on Sunday night.

Taylor has had the public and private support of co-owner Russell Crowe but his job is now far from safe.

Souths officials will have to rely on witness statements - not CCTV - to determine who initiated the incident.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal that first-floor function rooms at The Forresters Hotel - where the alleged punch-up occurred - do not have closed circuit television. The only cameras in the private rooms are focused on the tills.

It is understood the vision that night is inconclusive - only showing Taylor and Fa'alogo walking away. The Forresters Hotel would not release any of the vision.

It remains unknown whether Taylor will press charges against Fa'alogo.

A conviction would jeopardise Fa'alogo's rich four-year deal with English Super League club Huddersfield - said to be worth more than $1 million.

Souths chief executive Shane Richardson and chairman Nicholas Pappas attended the pub yesterday to look at the limited CCTV vision.

They were inside for one hour, emerging at 1.15pm.

Pappas earlier collected Richardson from Souths' football offices in Redfern.

Crowe is believed to be at his Coffs Harbour property and is yet to comment on the matter.
