Well it’s come down to the final weekend of the 2008 NRL regular season to decide the final positions of all 16 teams.

The Bulldogs and Cowboys set to decide who will take home the unwanted wooden spoon, while Manly and Melbourne will duel for the minor premiership.

In the middle, Canberra, Newcastle, New Zealand and Parramatta go into the final round looking to either confirm their place inside the top eight or nab a spot there.

The Raiders appear certainly with the points differential in their favour, however only a win over the Bulldogs on Sunday will guarantee finals action.

Sydney Roosters hold on fourth place receives its biggest test when they face challenger St George-Illawarra on Friday night.

The Roosters have made wholesale changes with a new-look backline named. Anthony Minichiello resumes at fullback, while Brent Grose and Sam Perrett swap wings. Up forward, Riley Brown returns from injury to the hooker role.

With Brisbane also in action at the same time, against the Knights, everyone will know on Friday night who has fourth, fifth and possibly sixth.

Newcastle has named Matt Hilder but with a tribunal visit tomorrow night the Knights could be making changes later this week. Danny Wicks has been named on an extended bench.

Penrith might be out of the running, but they will be eager to finish off the season with an upset over Manly in the Super Saturday opener.

The Sea Eagles have made just one change with Steve Menzies swapping places with Anthony Watmough. Steve Matai is facing a week on the sideline through suspension however he was named today in the Manly line-up.

Cronulla will know as they prepare to tackle the Cowboys whether top spot is up for grabs. Their points differential means they are likely to finish third though regardless of the result.

Parramatta has named the Robinson brothers for their must-win clash with the Warriors. The Eels though are set to play party-pooper (deny the Warriors a top eight spot) rather than be a finalist after last weekend’s dismal showing against the Dragons.

Chad Robinson has takes the field in his last regular season match before heading over to Europe where he will link with the London Harlequins, while Tim Robinson is poised to make his NRL first grade debut if retained in the final 17.

The Warriors have made one change with winger Aidan Kirk returning from injury.

The Raiders and Bulldogs are both unchanged for the Sunday clash in Canberra. Bulldogs coach Steve Folkes bows out after this game and would nothing better than to possibly avoid taking the wooden spoon with him.

Gold Coast’s fans will be pleased to see their horror season comes to an end in the late Sunday game when their Titans host Wests Tigers.

The Tigers have recalled Todd Payten after he served a three-week suspension, while Dene Halatau moves to the front row.

With the finals to follow the now-traditional Monday night fixture has been moved to a Sunday night for this week.

Ryan Hoffman is back for the Melbourne Storm when they host South Sydney. John Sutton will lead the Rabbitohs in the absence of Roy Asotasi (pectoral muscle injury). Luke Stuart moves to the front row with Shannan McPherson to start in the second row.

Below are all the team line-ups that were announced today, along with Radio and Television coverage details.
